Waste Management

RCRA Waste

Our RCRA Waste Management Services include consulting on waste streams and disposal options to managing entire installation's hazardous waste programs. We currently provide waste management services to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Fort Wainwright Alaska (FWA), Eielson Air Force Base (EAFB), Fort Greely Alaska (FGA), and Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCB) where we manage all aspects of waste sampling and profiling, container delivery and retrieval, accumulation point inspections, database tracking, labeling, Subject Matter Expert training, and transportation and disposal coordination. Through these contracts, and several commercial and industrial clients, ECC proudly manages hazardous and universal wastes from 100's of accumulation points ensuring our clients remain in compliance with RCRA.

Medical Waste

Waste management of medical waste consists of working with clients to complete container change out and pickup for sharps and biological wastes, and management of mercury and other hazardous substances associated with medical practice. Our technicians retrieve this waste, provide short term storage, and shipment to the final disposal facility. Our clients include entities who provide vitamins and supplements that have reach expiration and require proper management to minimize environmental impacts.

Remediation/IDW Waste

Managing remediation and IDW wastes from remote sites in Alaska includes heavy logistical planning to include transportation options such as rail, fixed wing aircraft and helicopter, barge and landing craft, and other options to complete waste transportation. From contaminated soil removal, transportation, and disposal to remedial system operation, ECC's staff provide the experience and knowledge to complete challenging environmental cleanup projects. We have provided wastewater treatment systems to client locations, and operate our own industrial wastewater pretreatment system.
