About Us

Environmental Compliance Consultants, Inc. (ECC) was founded in Anchorage, Alaska in 1999 and incorporated in 2001. ECC was established by three retired members of the Armed Forces to provide Resource Conservations and Recovery Act (RCRA) compliance services to Department of Defense clients in Alaska. While on active duty service, they were involved in operations and management of the Hazardous Waste Facilities at Elmendorf AFB and Fort Richardson, now Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska. With their experience, they recognized a need to support the Government's Hazardous Waste Facility operations with a "cradle to grave" database. In response, our ownership developed our proprietary waste tracking database which became the bedrock for ECC's foundation.

From our beginnings we developed into an industry leader in materials and waste management activities for large industrial facilities, military installations, and small businesses. The ability to support our clients has expanded along with our company and we proudly include environmental compliance and consulting, environmental construction and response work among our offered services. Our range of services is not our only growth area; we have also grown our geographical boundary. ECC has Service Centers in Anchorage and North Pole, Alaska, Portland, Oregon, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with team members ready to travel to wherever your project needs are. We are proud to be:

  • A graduate of the 8(a) Small Business Development Program in 2011.
  • A Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) certified by the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE).
  • A Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business.
